How To: Sharpie Mugs

Today is Nick's birthday. He is a super boyfriend.

Happy Birthday Nick!

As we have recently come back from the States, I needed a budget friendly but awesome present for him. I came across these sharpie mugs from A Beautiful Mess and I had to make them. They are so simple. I actually picked up some Sharpies in America for scrap booking - they were about $1 for two and I love a bargain - so all I needed was a basic white mug.

You could be thinking, 'hold on, where's the food? This is a food blog is it not?' Well yes, but who doesn't love a good craft project?

You don't even have to use a mug, you could create your own entire dinner set if you wanted. This is possibly my new favourite thing so don't be surprised if you know me and I give you and everyone we know a personalised mug.

These would also make great wedding or party favours as well.

  1. Using a Sharpie pen, draw your design on the mug.
  2. Place in the oven at 180 C/350 F for 30 minutes.
  3. Leave to cool completely before washing or using.

NOTE: Do not put these in a dishwasher. They are fine for handwashing but dishwashing will take off the design.
