A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2014.

72 days old.

Every week I am amazed at how quickly Sunday rolls around. This week I started reading to Matilda in the evening and I was surprised at how much she enjoyed it, I think I didn't expect her to be bothered by it at all. We started with the obligatory Guess How Much I Love You and The Gruffalo. She was fascinated by both so I really need to stock up on some more books now.

She's been really chatty today, making all sorts of little noises. We took a little trip to Trentham Gardens earlier, had a very disappointing breakfast at Frankie and Bennys but a very enjoyable stroll round the shops. We called into Yellowstone Art Boutique and met Hannah, the owner. It's such a gorgeous shop, I could fill our house with the prints and ceramics she stocks. We picked up a lovely map print - which was actually supposed to be wrapping paper but is too nice not to frame for the wall - and some hooks for our hallway. I'm planning a little post on our house soon so once they are up I'll include some photos. In the meantime, if you can't get to Stoke, check out Yellowstone on Etsy
