Our kitchen is possibly the most un-Pinterest worthy kitchen ever. I wish I had a light airy kitchen with lovely cupboards I could photograph all my food in but I don't. It's very old-fashioned and seriously lacking in storage but, like I've said before, I try to include accessories that make it look a little less 1994. One problem I have is that I like things to be in reach so there does tend to be a lot of things lying about on the worktops.
The Camouflage Company offered to send me this set of three foldaway trays and I thought it would probably help to tidy things up a little bit so I said yes and set about straightening up the kitchen.
I'll be honest, I was also worried that it would be something else to fill up the worktop but when I started to organise them I was really happy with how they looked. I used one to keep essential baking ingredients plus one or two ingredients to remind me of recipe ideas I need to try, for example, I bought a bag of dark brown sugar on Monday that I know I was to use soon so I popped that in. One tray keeps all of Tilly's meals (I haven't done quite so well on making things from scratch, don't judge) and snacks in and another has some fruit and nuts in and Tilly's porridge. All things that I want near to me and not lingering in a cupboard until I forget about them.
If I had more cupboard space I might put one or two in there to keep things separate but they still look really nice on the counter. I thought the quality was very good, they are waterproof and come with a plastic insert for each side to keep the sides straight. They stack on top of one another really well and stay sturdy. They are great for us as we are in a rented home right now and there is little we can do to the kitchen to increase space. I think they'd be great in an office or craft room as well for storing bits and bobs. I have LOADS of art and craft things sitting in a big box so I reckon I might get some more of these to organise all of that.
